The holy festival of Diwali celebrates the attainment of enlightenment and freedom from the darkness of ignorance. Every year, for the past 32 years, Swaminarayan Akshardham has celebrated this auspicious occasion by lighting 10,000 traditional lamps. This majestic Festival of Lights inspires every human being to illuminate their life by lighting the lamps of virtues such as truth, kindness, non-violence, righteousness, spiritual knowledge, worldly detachment, devotion to God, and others.
This year, too, visitors can experience and be inspired by the decorative Festival of Lights including a glow garden during the Diwali and Hindu New Year period from Thursday, 31 October to Friday, 8 November 2024.
