Flag Hoisting at Swaminarayan Akshardham on HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s 101st Birth Anniversary
The auspicious 101st birth anniversary of Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj, Magshar sud 8, was celebrated with a grand flag hoisting ceremony at Swaminarayan Akshardham, Gandhinagar, in the presence of Pujya Ishwarcharandas Swami, Anandswarupdas Swami, and other sadhus and devotees.
The flag and flagstaff to be installed had previously been sanctified by HH Mahant Swami Maharaj on 27 November 2022.
Pujya Ishwarcharandas Swami began the Vedic rituals in front of the divine murti of Bhagwan Shri Swaminarayan. Anandswarupdas Swami performed pujan of the 9.5 by 4.2 feet flag. Thereafter, amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras by Shrutiprakashdas Swami, pujan and arti of the murtis of was performed. After the pujan, the flag was hoisted atop the Akshardham Mandir.
In the assembly, Anandswarupdas Swami talked about the guidance that Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj had given for the creation of the Akshardham complex. In conclusion, Pujya Ishwarcharandas Swami spoke about how the Akshardham complex was envisioned by Brahmaswarup Yogiji Maharaj and created by Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj in memory of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, and praised the services of the volunteers serving in Akshardham.
