Governor of Gujarat H.E. Kailashpati Mishra, visits Akshardham

The Governor of Gujarat, H.E. Kailashpati Mishra, visited Akshardham in Gandhinagar on 9 May 2003. On behalf of Pramukh Swami Maharaj the sadhus welcomed the Governor with garlands and Vedic mantras. H.E. Kailashpati Mishra offered flowers at the feet of Bhagwan Swaminarayan in the main monument and the sadhus prayed for his good health and success in Gujarat. Thereafter he saw the exhibitions and multimedia show. After his 2-hour tour of Akshardham, Pramukh Swami Maharaj, who was in Saurashtra at the time, blessed him by phone. The Governor was highly impressed by his visit and wrote in the guest book, “I have had the auspicious opportunity of the darshan of Akshardham. The language or description of spirituality and art here is possible only through the power of God. I feel honored to mentally take the dust of sadhus’ feet of the Swaminarayan Sampraday on my head.”
After the presentation of mementos, the Governor departed from Akshardham.
