Governor of Odisha Visits Swaminarayan Akshardham, Gandhinagar

Hon. Dr. Hari Babu Kambhmpati, Governor of Odisha, visited Swaminarayan Akshardham in Gandhinagar, where he was traditionally welcomed by senior volunteers of Akshardham.

First, in the model room, the governor was introduced to the Akshardham complex, its creator Pramukh Swami Maharaj and his successor Mahant Swami Maharaj. Afterwards, he performed abhishek of Shri Nilkanth Varni Maharaj and offered his prayers for the progress of India and world peace.

Then, the governor visited the Nilkanth Vatika, where he was deeply touched by the darshan of the 49-foot-high murti of Shri Nilkanth Varni and offered incense to the murti.

From there, he proceeded to the Akshardham Mahamandir. He was amazed by the art and architecture of the mandir. Inside the mandir, he offered flowers and prayed before the murti of Bhagwan Swaminarayan.

The governor also appreciated the humanitarian activities of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.

Describing his visit, the governor stated on X: “Visited the magnificent Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar, a grand reflection of India’s spiritual depth, architectural brilliance and cultural heritage. Its serene atmosphere and divine craftsmanship embody the timeless values of devotion and peace.”
