At Akshardham’s giant screen theater, visitors become engrossed in Mystic India. Here, on a large screen, the audience follows a young Neelkanth Varni on an epic trek across the Indian subcontinent. From the icy peaks in the northern Himalayas to the warm beaches of southern India, follow Neelkanth as he traverses 12,000 kilometers across the length and breadth of India. THE FILM

Mystic India is the first large format film about India, made by an Indian organization. It is a monumental film produced by BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha with the talent of renowned experts of the large format film industry and the dedication of volunteers who took on this challenge.

Some interesting facts:

  • the film was shot at 108 different locations
  • A cast of more than 45,000
  • Historically accurate costumes with detailed research on the dress, hair and styles of people in India in the 18th century.
  • Life-size replicas of architectural wonders such as the Rath Yatra of Jagannathpuri and the Rameshwaram temple.
  • Much of the crew were volunteers who devoted their time and talents free of cost for the movie production.

    Exhibition tickets include Neelkanth And Sahajanand, Mystic India, Premanand and Sant Param Hitkari – all five exhibitions.
    Separate tickets for individual exhibition are not available.
    Timings: 10:00am to 5:30pm.
    Ticket counters close at 5.30pm.
