His Excellency President Khaltmaagiin Battulga of Mongolia visited Swaminarayan Akshardham in New Delhi as part of a five-day visit to India to deepen ties between the two nations.
President Battulga, along with his delegation, which included members of his family, parliament officials, government representatives and advisors, were greeted by Dharmavatsal Swami of BAPS on behalf of Param Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj, the sixth spiritual leader of BAPS.
The Mongolian President and delegation offered respects at the Swaminarayan Akshardham Mandir and performed abhishek, the ceremonial pouring of sanctified water from 151 holy bodies of water from across India on the murti of Shri Neelkanth Varni Maharaj. They also toured the educational Sanskruti Vihar, a cultural voyage that displays 10,000 years of India’s heritage and contributions to society.
“I am pleased to get acquainted with the wonderful Akshardham, which symbolized the ancient, rich, cultural and spiritual heritage of the Indian people,” said President Battulga. “Taking this moment I extend to the volunteers, institution and individuals, those (who) built and run this magnificent complex, my best wishes for happiness.”
