United States Congress members experience Indian culture and heritage at Swaminarayan Akshardham in New Delhi

Four members of Congress from the United States House of Representatives – Thomas Richard Suozzi, Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from New York’s 3rd district; Brenda Lawrence, Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Michigan’s 14th district, Andrew Ferguson IV, Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Georgia’s 3rd district and Pete Olson, Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Texas’s 22nd district – specially visited Swaminarayan Akshardham in New Delhi to experience Indian culture and heritage.

After a warm, traditional welcome, the four members offered their respects at the Swaminarayan Akshardham Mandir and admired its art and architecture. They viewed the Gajendra Pithika (Elephant Plinth) and then performed abhishek of Shri Neelkanth Varni to pray for world peace and harmony. Thereafter, they experienced the ‘Sanskruti Vihar’ boat ride exhibition and the evening ‘Sahaj Anand’ water show.

Sharing their sentiments at Swaminarayan Akshardham, the U.S. Congress members wrote:
